About Liz

Who is Liz Bogetveit?

She/Her/Hers – What is a pronoun? 

Liz Bogetveit is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Boulder area, currently seeing clients. Her patients include children, teens, families and adults whom she offers guidance and support through the toughest of circumstances.

Liz is from Boulder, Colorado, studied Psychology at the University of Boulder and received her Masters from the University of Denver in International Disaster Psychology. During her studies, Liz studied abroad on Semester at Sea, completed an internship in Sarajevo, Bosnia and volunteered in refugee camps in Thailand. Liz worked with adopted children and families (both domestic and international), and as a School Based Therapist for refugee children and families in Denver, Colorado.

In 2018, Liz started her own Private Practice in Boulder. Through her practice, she has been able to work with children, teens and adults, as well as families and new parents. Liz has an office located in East Boulder and is offering both in person and remote sessions. Liz has been growing her practice to include additional, wonderful therapists.

Liz provides a safe and calm space to work through these difficult life challenges. She practices mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotion Focused Behavior Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy (including art and sand tray). Liz is also trained in Perinatal Mental Health.
